Steve Post is a north county San Diego native who has been an educator in the Vista Unified School District for his entire career. Mr. Post began his career as an 8th grade science and AVID teacher at Vista Academy in 2004, then became a founding faculty member of Mission Vista High School where he helped design curriculum, school culture, and course offerings. At Mission Vista, Mr. Post taught Biology and Medical Science while he served as AVID Coordinator, Science Department Chair, and WASC Coordinator. After earning his administration credential, Mr. Post became the Assistant Principal of Vista Magnet Middle School in 2013 where he found a natural fit for his interests and strengths in school leadership. Mr. Post then became the Principal of Vista Magnet in 2017, and continues to lead Vista Magnet's successful International Baccalaureate and STEM magnet programs for all Viper students. Mr. Post places great value on high expectations for all students' academic, behavioral, and social growth, and works hard to ensure all students feel safe and a have a true sense of belonging at Vista Magnet. In his free time, Mr. Post can be found on local sports fields coaching his children's teams, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling with his wife and family.
