HOW TO VIEW GRADES AND REPORT CARDS ON PARENT PORTAL

Use these steps to view Vista Magnet IB on Parent Portal:

  • Log in to Parent Portal
  • Click on the Grades Tab near the top
  • Click on Report Card History
  • In the Report Card History page, you will see a list of available Progress Reports and Report cards
  • Select a Report Card by clicking the language link (English or Spanish) on the right side

IB PROGRESS REPORTS AND REPORT CARDS

Vista Magnet Middle School uses the International Baccalaureate (IB) grade reporting system. All students at Vista Magnet will receive IB on their Progress Reports during each semester (October and March), and on their Report Cards at the end of each semester (January and June).

To fully understand all IB grade information on your student's semester report card (January 2018 and June 2018), please refer to the documents below. Hard copies of these Report Card Keys are mailed home to all parents, and are available in our school office.

IB GRADING PRACTICES SUMMARY

Vista Magnet Middle School has fully transitioned to the International Baccalaureate (IB) grade reporting system in the 2017:2018 school year. All teachers use IB assessment practices in each class, and report IB to all students in order to provide more specific feedback on student progress. The goal is to help students and parents more accurately understand their learning progress, where they currently are on a continuum of skills and performance, and specific next steps for improvement.
